Epic is a non-profit organization that was founded at the original, world-famous Skate Street USA. After the tragic passing of Skate Street owner Tim Garrety in 2005, Epic helped to create a new project that would revolutionize the music scene in Ventura County: Alpine. Alpine was home to the area's premeir concerts, hosting artists such as AFI, My Chemical Romance, and Phil Wickham. It became the epicenter of Youth Culture, sporting a more condensed skatepark and a 5,000 square foot rock climbing gym.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and Alpine closed its doors at the height of its popularity in December of 2007 (the climbing gym still remains at its current location). Many question the closing of what was such an amazing place. Alpine was driven to impact the lives of young people, and it simply could not do that in its existing location.

And that bring us to chapter three. Epic has a significantly vamped up gaming center, complete with 31 high end PC's, XBox 360 and PS3, an all new energy lounge featuring free wireless internet and computer use, and, of course, the all age event venue that Ventura County has come to know and love.
